Meet the team

We are so proud of our amazing team here at Nettlecombe, all of whom go the extra mile to keep us at the top of our game and make sure you experience the holiday of a lifetime.

You can meet a few of them below and hear a few local tips and secret gems that you might like to do during your stay.

A trip to Steephill Cove is a must, situated just south of the Victorian seaside town of Ventnor is this picturesque traditional fishing cove with a sandy beach that is only accessible by foot. Make sure you try the amazing crab pasties at The Beach Shack.

Buster

Buster

Farmer

Having worked at Nettlecombe Farm for nearly half a century, Buster knows the farm like the back of his hand, and has many a story to tell of yesteryear. Try and find his hidden lucky horseshoe during your stay and make a wish.

Check out www.thepriceiswight.co.uk for some great discounted deals on things to do and places to go here on the Isle of Wight. Everything from festival tickets, activities and days out and local pubs and restaurants.

Leave your car at home, take a picnic and go for a family adventure on foot. Trekking to Hoy Monument and the Pepperpot is my favourite, but do make sure you find Whitwell's hidden waterfall during your stay and look out for the sea eagles.

Josie

Josie

The Boss

Try your hand at stargazing whilst you are here as we get the most amazingly clear nights. We have hardly any light pollution so you will experience seeing night skies like you have never seen before. Look out for shooting stars.

With stunning views and a history going back centuries, St Boniface Down is not to be missed. There is a fabulous circular walk that will take you to the Devil's Chimney (it's a bit steep but worth it!) Ask Lucy for directions during your stay, and also ask her to tell you about the Ventnor Fringe & Rhythm Tree Festivals.

From the outside you could be fooled into thinking it's just the local post office, but inside Joe's Bar in Niton is a fabulous local ale house and diner with a beer garden. Pizzas cooked in the wood fired oven are not to be missed.
